William Lightner reflects on his travels and teachings

William Lightner

Many people long to travel the world doing something which they're passionate about.

MARIETTA, GA, UNITED STATES, March 14, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Sadly, it's a longing never realized by most, as family life, careers, and other commitments often take precedence.

"You need to take a leap of faith," says William Lightner of the prospect.

A Judson University graduate and former military man, Lightner has enjoyed a successful career working in executive sales and finance.

It would come as something of a surprise, then, to both Lightner himself, and his friends and family, when he decided to take his own leap of faith.

In doing so, he would give up his career and go on to travel tens of thousands of miles on a journey which would take him to 28 different countries and change his life forever.

"I credit my education with the decision," says Lightner.

"Judson University was an outstanding college for me because of the higher education setting and their worship of God," he continues. "The university made me into the man I am today."

Lightner's decision would see him join a well-known religious mission and travel the world as an evangelist.

The former private Baptist school pupil's travels have subsequently allowed him to personally assist hundreds of individuals from across the globe in finding comfort in God.

In addition to this, William Lightner has also addressed often vast crowds, numbering as many as several thousand at a time.

"I teach them to acknowledge fellowship," he says of his role as a globetrotting evangelist, "as well as faith through prayer."

He continues, "I do this so that they can live a more sound life as a follower of Christ."

Lightner's role within the mission meant entering a 25-week development process, but it was a process he was more than happy to undertake.

"The mission got me started with speaking and traveling the world," he says. "They hold a special place in my heart."

Now a highly regarded motivational speaker, known on an international stage to many thousands of people, Lightner has developed an entirely new skill set.

"I believe that, regardless of the topic, there are three main factors which every speaker should consider," he says of what he's learned. "These are being personal with the crowd, showing passion, and being powerful with words."

Of his time with the mission, Lightner remarks, "I'm forever appreciative of the chance they gave me."

"They're one organization," he adds in closing, "which I love doing work for."
