Sáblíková wins silver medal in the 3000m in Hamar
Speed skater Martina Sáblíková won the silver medal in the 3000m race at the World Championships in Hamar on Thursday. The three-time Olympic champion was beaten by Joy Beune of the Netherlands, who was 18 hundredths of a second faster. The bronze went to another Dutch woman, Merel Conijn. The other Czech in the race, Nikola Zdráhalová, was tenth, her career best in the top event on this track.
