BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – April 30 is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, and with the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society experiencing a code red at their shelter, it’s a perfect time to find your forever friend.

Over 6.5 million animals go into shelters every year, with the BGWCHS seeing a massive intake alone.

Their Empty the Shelters event is now underway, including $25 adoption fees on any dogs, cats, puppies or kittens.
