INDIANAPOLIS – A low-cost spay/neuter clinic will be held Saturday, Aug. 7 in Terre Haute. Pet Friendly Services of Indiana is partnering with Public Vet to provide financial assistance to individuals wishing to spay/neuter their cats during the event.

Public Vet is a mobile veterinary clinic that focuses on at-risk communities in need of affordable spay/neuter surgeries and essential care for animals. Rates are $40 for feral and free-roaming cats and $80 for owned cats. With support from Pet Friendly Services, additional discounts are available for cases with demonstrated financial need.

“The Pet Friendly specialty license plate funds projects like this as well as thousands of other spay/neuter surgeries each year,” Pet Friendly Services Executive Director Cheri Storms said. This prevents the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals while addressing the root cause of shelter overpopulation.”

Surgeries are by appointment only. Only 20 spots are available. Sign up at www.pub.vet.
