When Emily Tromans was planning her own wedding, she realised how difficult it was to include her four-legged family member in her ceremony.

The 27-year-old veterinary nurse, from Adelaide, tied the knot to her now-husband Ryan Tromans, with their pet dog Ace walking down the aisle as the furry best man.

But just half way into the ceremony, the playful canine escaped from his leash - and made a wild dash for the bride and groom in front of their guests.

And so the idea to help other animal-loving couples sprung into mind after Mrs Tromans saw an opening in the market for a pet sitting service at weddings in South Australia.

'The idea came from my own wedding when I found it really hard to organise someone to look after Ace because all my family and friends were invited to the wedding,' she told Daily Mail Australia.

'It was quite difficult thinking of all the logistics of how we were going to get him there. But we found a work colleague to drop him off when the guests were arriving.

'Ace was all fine - and he walked down the aisle with the best man. He was sitting down the front with all the boys until halfway through the ceremony, he got off the leash.

'Somehow he managed to escape and started barking at everyone. He was running around the venue then he saw me, bolted and gave me a big kiss on the cheek. My dad was able to catch him, it was a bit of a worry.'

Mrs Tromans said she wanted her dog Ace to be part of her big day because he was a loyal family member.

'He's part of the family, he's my first born child - I can't have a wedding without him, he's our best friend,' she said.

'I know people feel the same way with their dogs as well.'

Fast forward two years, the young woman started her own pet sitter business I Do Paws for couples to incorporate dogs into their wedding celebrations.

'I saw a bit of a hole in the market so I thought why not fill it,' she said.

The packages includes transport to and from the venue, toilet breaks, photography coordination to get the paw-fect pictures, plenty of treats and unlimited belly rubs to ensure your best friend has a great day.

The service allows brides and grooms to enjoy their ceremony with their pets, without having to ask a friend or family member to take care of their furry friend throughout the day.

The $250 bronze package offers three hours of on-the-day service at the wedding.

'So I pick them up from the house, drive them to the wedding, look after them, take them on walks, seat them down as a guest at the wedding before they are taken home and fed,' she said.

'We come out to the person's house and we do a training schedule with them, teach them to walk nicely or sit nicely or whatever the parents want their dog to do at the wedding, we train them to do that,' she said.

'Dogs are pretty easy to train, they are part of the family so most people do a lot of training with their dogs already and I'm just fine tuning it.'

And the $500 Honeymoon package includes transport or and from your designated kennels.

'So after the wedding, if couples are going straight to their honeymoon, we drop the dog to the boarding kennels. The owners fly out and we make sure we pick the dog up from the kennels,' she said.

'We have them back at the house so when the owners return from their honeymoon, their dog is waiting for them.'

Since launching her business, Mrs Tromans said the best part about her job was getting to see couples exchanging smiles when they see their pets attend their special day.

'I love watching the owner's eyes when they see their dogs arriving,' she said.

'Most of the time, as the grooms or brides mingle with the crowds, their dogs arrive and you can see the sparkles in their eyes - their reactions are priceless.

'Dogs go mental when they see their owners, they get really excited - and you can see how much they love their humans.'
