Male tuxedo kitten would make a good pet

Groucho

ELMWOOD PARK -- Groucho is a male tuxedo kitten in the care of Save the Animals Rescue Team.

Described by volunteers as "a typical kitten -- active and playful," he should make a good pet in most any home.

Groucho, who is FIV/FeLV negative, has been neutered and is up-to-date on shots.

For more information on Groucho, call 201-797-8861 or fill out an online application at startii.org. START is a nonprofit rescue group serving Bergen County for 41 years.

START II has also put out a call for much-needed donations to care for homeless pets.

The rescue needs wet and dry dog and cat food, paper towels, Dawn dish detergent, liquid washing machine detergent, bleach, stamps, copy paper, gas cards and pet store gift cards. Call 201-797-8861 to make arrangements to drop off your donations.

Shelters interested in placing a pet in the Paw Print adoption column or submitting news should call 973-836-4922 or email ghatala@starledger.com.
